Syncing SugarCRM (Community Edition) and Outlook 2007/2010
The Pro version of SugarCRM offers a custom Outlook connector. When using the Community (free) version of SugarCRM though, you may want to consider alternative routes to sync emails, contacts, meetings etc from SugarCRM to Outlook and vice versa.
Meet KINAMU Outlook Connector
http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/outlookconnectFor this to work you need to add the SOAP Module to your SugarCRM installation via the module loader. Just download the zip-file and upload and enable it via the Module Loader:
Now install the KINAMU Outlook Connector Binary on your local workstation. Upon installing the Outlook plugin (used version 1.6.3), you need to enter your SugarCRM credentials via Outlook->Options->addins->Add-In Options.
Destination is http://DOMAINOFSUGARCMSINSTANCE/OPTIONALSUBDIRECTORY/soap.php
Personally I got the following error message when entering my credentials:
attempting Login ... Could not find endpoint element with name 'sugarsoapHttpPort' and contract 'SugarSoapService.sugarsoapPortType' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this name could be found in the client element.http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/265318-post19.html gives the following advice:
You have to fix one registry entry. Find this entry and correct it like this: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\KINAMU.SugarCRMConnector] "Manifest"="file:///C:\\Program Files\\KINAMU\\KINAMU Connector\\KINAMU Connector.vsto|vstolocal" Original Manifest was without ‘file:///’ –prefix. Without fixing this Kinamu Plugin just closes.
Using regedit.exe:
Now, entering the credentials into the addin-options worked perfectly.
From this point onward the (Screencast) documentation located at http://www.docstoc.com/docs/28901011/Integrate-MS-Outlook-2007-Addressbook-with-SugarCRM-Contacts-on-Windows worked like a charm.

Awsome. Thank you very much.
Actually we now left Sugar and made the switch to http://redminecrm.com as we are using (a heavily customized) Redmine for project/ticket-management anyway so CRM becomes integrated with the rest of the internal management applications.
Hi Hinnerk,th above guidelines really helpful.thank you.I am facing a problem when I try to connect with sugarcrm.
Opened outlook and with in Addins->Kinamu->connect
